Orange Business Services and Docapost lead Alliance Blockchain France, an industrial group based on the model of Alastria (Spain) and IDUnion (Germany).
The veil is lifted on theFrench Blockchain Alliance. Not exactly in practice, this association having a legal existence since the end of February. But Orange Business Services and Docaposte, its bridgeheads, have chosen VivaTech to orchestrate the communication.
The counter is currently at 19 members. Antoine Maisonneuve, head of the blockchain program at Orange Business, holds the presidency of the association. The vice-president returned to Olivier Senot, director of innovation at Docaposte.
“If we look at our European peers, we expect to have at least 600 members […] In the coming years “, wants to believe Antoine Maisonneuve. That is the volume claimed today by the Spanish consortium Alastria.
Another group in sight: UnionID. Established in Germany, it brings together heavyweights such as Bosch, Siemens, Deutsche Telekom and Deutsche Bank.
The Alliance Blockchain France also has ambitions in the area targeted by IDUnion. “We are focused on the digital identity of legal persons, [pour] to secure exchanges which, today, are mostly done by email,” says Antoine Maisonneuve.
More generally, recalls Olivier Senot, the idea is to provide a “sandbox”. In this case, a blockchain base on which manufacturers can develop applications, by pooling R&D costs.
The association also mentions its ” [perspectives] of European collaboration. Among them, the Brussels call for projects on the e-wallet European. For France, it will be a question of having “its say in the standardization of exchanges, in the data structures that can be exchanged”…
“Through these e-wallets, [on va] to push a new concept which is that of the opposable pseudonym, specifies Olivier Senot. So that you can navigate without revealing your identity either to the platforms or to the correspondents. But […] we can determine, if necessary, who is behind it. »
