HTC is launching its Exodus 1s smartphone at € 219 including tax, capable of running a full Bitcoin node.

The Taiwanese group also accepts payments in euros for its second “special blockchain” smartphone.
The first, named Exodus 1, has been on the market for a year and is currently accessible at € 759 including tax.
The Exodus 1s is in a much lower price range: € 219 including tax.
The technical sheet suffers: 5.7 inch HD + screen, Snapdragon 435 processor, 4 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, 13 megapixel photo sensor on the back and front, 3000 mAh battery and 4G Category 6.
For its part, the Exodus 1 has a 6-inch Quad HD + screen, a Snapdragon 845, 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, 12 and 16-megapixel sensors on the back and twice 8-megapixels on the front, a 3,500 battery. mAh and 4G Category 18.
The Exodus 1s has the special feature of being able to run a full Bitcoin node *. This requires a microSD card. HTC recommends a 400 GB model (not supplied).
We will take into consideration the fact that the Bitcoin blockchain today weighs around 250 GB and gets heavier on average by 60 GB per year.
However, bitcoin mining is not available on the Exodus 1s. HTC claims to work on partner offers to harness the computing power of the smartphone.
* In the absence of being able to act as a Bitcoin node, the Exodus 1 allows it to manage its encryption keys. This is done through the secure Zion environment, which is also used to run the code of third-party applications.
