A unique collection for fans of the cult game
The Japanese company Konami, one of the leading video game developers, has decided to join the NFT world. The interest of gaming companies in NFT
Konami has become one of the companies that has shown interest in NFT. She’s about to join Ubisoft, Square Enix, Electronic Arts, and GameStop, which have already launched their own non-fungible tokens and services related to the crypto industry.
Unfortunately, many projects were received negatively by the public. It is assumed that this is due to the environmental costs ofminingblockchain or the exaggeration of the value of NFT. Konami had to face a similar reaction. Critics remembered the launch of the pachinko machines, a device that can best be described as a cross between a pinball machine and a slot machine. These devices are very popular in Japan, where casinos are prohibited.
Still, Konami has no plans to abandon the auction. But SEGA, due to backlash from the public, is ready to abandon plans for the launch of NFT, announced in spring 2020.
