Organizer of concerts in the universe of the metaverse, the Animal Concerts group has just entered into a partnership with the South Korean blockchain Klaytn with the aim of integrating world stars into the musical entertainment offered in the metaverse. The goal is to attract more people to this sector and make it one of the engines of global entertainment.
Why is Klaytn partnering with Animal Concerts?
Last Monday, the Klaytn blockchain officially announced that it has entered into a partnership with Animal Concerts. The objective attached to the collaboration is to increase the number of NFTs exchanged on the platform.
As of today, Klaytn is one of three blockchains with native support on OpenSea which is the largest NFT marketplace in the world. However, OpenSea has had low trading volume for some time. It is with the aim of changing the situation that Klaytn has started looking for new partners. In addition, it should be noted that Kakao, the parent company of Klaytn, has revealed that it plans to create Kakao Games, a platform that will combine NFTs and the metaverse.
In order to promote the metaverse, Animal Concerts will soon launch a new cryptocurrency, non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and derivative products. These will be exclusively designed for the best artists. For example, the platform has already partnered with Alicia Keys.
Klaytn will organize several concerts
Animal Concerts CEO Colin Fitzpatrick said he believes NFTs can one day become a way for the music industry to grow. They will be used, among other things, to increase income for artists ; revenues that have been largely lost since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. Indeed, artists are seeing their shows and tours canceled due to the risk of spread.
To cope with the effects of the pandemic, one of the measures that artists have taken has been to organize concerts that their fans can follow directly while staying at home. However, for Mr. Colin, there is a better solution to exploit: the organization of concerts in the metaverse. This will avoid the disappointment of shows and concerts canceled by the authorities.
“Korean entertainment will be a huge thing for Animal Concerts,” Mr. Colin told the media Cointelegraph. That said, although he is positive, he thinks the project will be difficult to get on track. “It is difficult to launch the first concerts, but the artists will eventually come to us”.
Klaytn, a South Korean blockchain, plans to make the metaverse an indispensable and essential space in the entertainment universe. To this end, it plans to multiply partnerships with other companies and players in the entertainment sector. To this end, it has already concluded an agreement with Animal Concerts.
